Water sports in Tenerife are extremely popular, thanks to the sheer fact that it is a small island in an incredible location, as well as home to some of Europe’s most impressive dive sites. Most clubs offer half-day and full-day fishing trips which include the opportunity to see incredible vistas of Tenerife from sea, as well as the chance to see whales and dolphins and catch many spectacular fish.
 
Private charters and specialist trips are also available from most clubs, which invite anglers to concentrate on their favourite type of fishing, whether it is big game, bottom fishing or big shark drifting trips.

Despite the mountainous aspect of the island's stunning landscape, Tenerife is extremely popular with cyclists.
 
Scenic coastal roads, challenging mountain trails and gentle paths through the lush golf courses are all on offer to the two wheeled traveller.

The beginner friendly peaks of Billboards in Las Americas give way to the gnarly excitement of Spanish Left further down the coast. Boogie boarders, long boarders and lip-hitting thrusters will all find a break to suit their style in the warm coastal waters of the south of Tenerife.

Tenerife is home to El Medano - the windsurfer's European Mecca. This bohemian town is host to a number of major competitions and championships throughout the year.
 
The conditions in Tenerife best suit intermediate to advanced windsurfers and are especially good for those that enjoy bump and jump as well as waves. The average level is pretty high - you can expect to see some of the top amateur riders sailing here.
